A set of two adorable bottles from AVON. The dog, a Scottish terrier, is made of white opaline with a hard plastic head. The telephone bottle features a removable cream-colored plastic handset and dial, which act as a cover for the cap. The body is made of beautifully decorated molded glass. Now empty, it originally contained the "Élégance" Eau de Cologne.

In 1886, David H. McConnell founded the California Perfume Company, which would become Avon, in New York City. As an unsuccessful book salesman, he concocted a rose perfume as a "free gift" to encourage people to buy his books. The perfume was so popular that McConnell decided to abandon the book business and start a perfume company. The company changed its name to Avon in 1939 in honor of Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon.
