Beautiful ARCOPAL tempered opal glass casserole dish with an Avila pattern depicting Christmas roses. It goes from oven to table; the two parts can be used separately, and the lid can be used to serve, for example, vegetables.
The French brand is manufactured by the Verrerie Cristallerie d'Arques.
The manufacturing process for Opal glass was discovered in 1958 and registered under the name Arcopal.
It is a glass that is very resistant to chips and cracks.
Under the casserole dish is marked "ARCOPAL France".
