Japanese tea set in fine porcelain with crane motif

A beautiful tea set made in Japan, consisting of six extremely fine porcelain cups and saucers, a sugar bowl, and a teapot/coffee maker. Each piece is decorated with a stunning blue and white design featuring seigaiha waves, a traditional Japanese motif, and flying cranes.
At the bottom of each cup, the Geisha's eyes follow you like those of the Mona Lisa! Lithophane geisha cups were made from the late 1800s to the 1950s. The cups are thin, and the image found on the bottom of the cup is created using varying thicknesses of porcelain. Most of these porcelain cups are made in the Kutani region of Japan. The images above show what is commonly referred to as a "unique geisha," with a classic Japanese hairstyle. In some versions, the geisha's hair is adorned with chopsticks, garlands, or flowers.
In very good condition, except for a crack on a cup (see last photo)
